My husband did the most romantic thing, just out of the blue. He called me on our home phone, from his cell, somewhere in the house. He pretended like he was calling me for a first date, acted like he’d just met me. He asked if I was busy tonight and would I go out with him to dinner. Of course I said yes and he said he would pick me up at 6:00. He must have snuck out of the house somehow and while I was getting ready, the doorbell rang! I opened the door to find him standing there in his best cloths, ready for our date. He’d even parked the car at the curb. It was very weird, but very romantic. Our teenage daughter was giggling about it, she thought it was sweet. On the way to the restaurant he kept up the act, asking if I liked chineses food and acting like it was our first date. Soo sweet, my hubby Paul and I will be married for 25 years this August. He has always treated me like a queen. On our wedding night he carried me over the threshold of our hotel room, and did that again when we moved into our first home. I could go on and on. I think that no matter how hectic life can be, you should always put your relationship first. Take time to have a romantic “date night” at least once a month. If your marriage is happy, everything else will fall into place.
Hi Shellie. Thanks for that amazing comment! What a fantastic idea, and one I shall be sure to try in the future
You are very lucky to have a man like that. You are so right, it is the little things that add up. Everyone should make time to do things for their lover.
